On April 27, 2026, Huawei Agritech was invited to attend the "Special Forum for the Kenyan Agricultural Research Delegation to China" held at the Shanghai Agricultural Machinery Research Institute.

As a major agricultural country in East Africa, Kenya takes agriculture as the core pillar of its national economy and people's employment, but has long been plagued by challenges such as drought and water shortage, low irrigation coverage, and low levels of agricultural mechanization and modernization. Its government is vigorously promoting the upgrading of smart agriculture, efficient water-saving irrigation and agricultural product processing industries to ensure national food security and deepen cooperation with China in modern agriculture.

As a representative Shanghai agricultural science and technology enterprise, Huawei Agritech detailed its smart irrigation systems and integrated controlled agriculture solutions to the visiting leaders from Kenya's Ministry of Energy and Ministry of Finance, as well as other guests, and shared classic cases of the application of its benchmark projects at home and abroad.

Kenyan official leaders highly recognized and praised Huawei Agritech's mature technical system and comprehensive implementation achievements, noting that Huayi's core technologies such as controlled agriculture and water-saving irrigation (agri-photovoltaic complementarity) are highly compatible with Kenya's agricultural development reality, which is characterized by little rainfall, abundant sunlight and weak power grid foundation.
